Delete your VOOWA account

This page explains how to request deletion of your account and the personal data associated with it in VOOWA, the marriage platform app published on Google Play by VOOWA.

How to delete your account

There are two ways, and both delete the same data. Use whichever suits you.

In the app

1. Open VOOWA and sign in.
2. Go to Profile and tap your photo (or the Edit button on it). This opens Edit profile.
3. Tap the trash icon at the top right of Edit profile.
4. Tap Delete my account, then confirm twice: Continue, then Delete forever.

By email

Use this if you can no longer sign in, or if you have already removed the app from your device.

1. Write an email to privacy@voowa.love from the email address linked to your VOOWA account, with the subject line "Delete my account".
2. We verify that the request comes from the account owner. If we need to confirm anything, we reply to the same address.

What happens next

However you request it, your account and the data listed below are deleted within 30 days. If you asked by email, you receive a confirmation email once it is done.

Deletion is permanent. Once completed it cannot be undone, and a new account would start from zero.

What gets deleted

• Your account and login credentials
• Your profile details: name, date of birth, gender, bio, religion, education, profession, and languages
• All photos you uploaded
• Your likes and matches
• Your chat messages
• Your verification documents (selfie and ID)
• Your referral records

What is retained, and for how long

• Safety and fraud prevention records (for example, records of bans or reports involving the account) are kept only as long as needed for those purposes and to meet legal obligations, then deleted.
• Anonymised aggregate statistics that contain nothing identifying you (for example, overall member counts) are retained; they cannot be linked back to you.
• Backups: deleted data disappears from our routine backups as they roll off, within 30 days of the deletion.
